We are hiring for the following positions:

CDL – Front Load Driver

A position exists for an experienced Commercial Front Load Trash Truck Driver based out of our Essex location. This type of vehicle is a combination of truck driving and equipment operation with a large amount of hydraulics on board.

Work schedule – Monday through Friday except Holiday weeks require Saturdays, on an early morning to early afternoon route.

Requirements:

  • CDL Class A or B
  • Candidates must possess an excellent driving record, with at least 3 years of experience operating a heavy truck.
  • Applicants must be able to successfully pass a physical agility exam and pre-employment drug test.

Rear Load Route Helper

There is a full-time position open for a Rear Load Route Helper based out of our Centerbrook (Essex), CT office. The Route Helper assists as a helper on trucks requiring assistance in the field as needed.

Work schedule – Monday through Friday except Holiday weeks require Saturdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Pushing/pulling carts and dumpsters to and from the truck for service, and working closely with the driver on the truck to complete all tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Follow routing and directions for completing assignments given by Dispatchers, Route Managers, and Operations Managers.
  • Reporting any damage done to property or vehicle immediately when it occurs to Dispatch.
  • Safely operate all tools necessary to perform tasks.
  • This will involve lifting, pushing, and pulling material up to 80 pounds.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must be able to successfully pass a physical agility exam and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must work swiftly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, stand for long periods, and be able to work as part of a team.
  • The candidate must be able to work a Monday through Friday work week with hours established by the Operations Manager. Special hours needed to service customers outside of those hours may be possible with proper notice.
